Game 10: Washington Capitals @ Edmonton Oilers

We were 21 - 32 on faceoffs, but hey, 3 - 3 on the PK and Holtby stopped 30 out of 31.  

Capitals 4 - Oilers 1.

3 wins in a row and . . .
And now we are in the playoff spot?  Party on people!

 

Game 6: Edmonton Oilers @ Washington Capitals

Even though they were out shot 30 - 20, they were 3 - 3 on the PK and went 2 - 3 on the power play.

It was a fun night.

Capitals 4 - Oilers 2.   2 points out of a playoff spot.

And now that the losing streak is over, this is how I feel. . . 

What does Today's game mean to the Caps 2/27

Not bad news for the Capitals tonight.  The Jets lost to the Oilers 5 - 3.  The Capitals are still in 9th and 1 point behind the Jets for the last playoff spot, but they have 3 games in hand.

In other news, the Capitals did not make any trades today.  The good news is they did not over pay for an "upgrade", but the bad news, they did not pick up any pieces for a playoff run OR for the future.

Oh hell, I am getting old, I forgot the Maple Leafs played as well.  Bad news for the Caps.  They the Leafs beat the Oilers last night.  

The Caps stay in 9th and are now 3 points being 8th place Toronto.

The Caps do have 2 more games left than the Leafs but of course, they have to win those games.  So leave the rock star rock styles back home guys.
