Game 26: Washington Capitals @ Carolina Hurricanes

When the Hurricanes were up 2 - 0, this was a reaction I saw:

But when the Capitals came back . . . 

The Caps were outshot but they were 4 - 4 on the PK.

Somehow, we made Justin Peters and Riley Nash look great.  Holy Hell.

Game 24: New York Rangers @ Washington Capitals

It was a strange game.  The Caps were up early, they were close on shots, kept the penalties down and yet, they were outworked on all the little things.

In spite of the bad news, Steven Olesky got his first NHL goal today.

Game 23: Washington Capitals @ New York Islanders

When the Capitals tied the game up, our fans at the game where like this:

But when the Islanders scored 3 straight . . . .

I mean, a double minor and a Riberio's two penalties in the 3rd did not help.  Then again, being outshot 19 - 5 in the 3rd and 45 - 24 the whole game does not either.

Islanders 5 - Capitals 2.  

What stings the most is this would have been a great game to make up room on the 8th seed.

Now that was a comeback.

When the Caps were down 0 - 3 after the first, this was my reaction.

But after Eric Fehr won it in overtime . . .

Capitals win 4 - 3 in overtime.

Game 20: Washington Capitals @ Winnipeg Jets

The Caps were 3 for 3 on the PK, they controlled the face off for the most part and took advantage of the chances.  A very solid game.
