To be honest, this game felt like an over glorified preseason game with live targets.  We locked up the 3rd seed, so win, lose, or OT loss, it did not matter.

But after losing to the Senators again . .

In a game that means so much to both teams, here is the nonsense I come up with.

Capitals 5 Jets 3.  The Caps have won the division!

We all know this was a must win for the Capitals and Canadiens.  What a way to spend a Saturday night with two hockey teams fighting for playoff positioning.  There is one problem.  Apparently only one team showed up.

Caps have a winning streak, Sens have a hot goalie, what could possible go wrong here . . .

Oh it is getting down the crunch time.  2 very important points on the board for both teams.

With that being said.  Here is the nonsense I came up with.

I don't know.  I mean the Raptors did win tonight.

Game 42: Tampa Bay Lightning @ Washington Capitals

So Let me get this straight.

The Capitals were up 5 - 1 in the 2nd and overtime was still needed?

Thankfully we pulled it out in overtime.

And an important lesson that was taught at the game . . . 

Game 41 Carolina Hurricanes @ Washington Capitals

I think these are easy to remember.

This guy had two teams going in opposite directions.  The Caps fighting to ensure a playoff spot.  As for the Carolina Hurricanes, well, it looks likt this . . .

And since I am so easily distracted . . .

This is how I picture my head would react like this as the crowds at the Verizon Center keep getting louder and louder.




Anyways, back to the facts . . .

Capitals 3 Hurricanes 1.  I am starting to smell a playoff spot.
