Going 0 - 3 on the power play does not help.

Rallying from 0 - 2 to tie the game does.  But not scoring in the 3rd period does not help either.

Bottom line, tonight did not help our playoff chances.

Good news, bad news.

Good News:  Capitals 3, Rangers 2 (SO)

Bad News:  The Rangers got a point are are now in 8th.  Basically, instead of being out of the playoffs by 1 point, they are behind 2 points.

It was fun to watch.  Reminds me of the good times the last few years.

So let me get this right.  We are on the power play and it is a double minor.  We have some quality shots but can not score.  And when the power play ends, we let the Penguins score right away.

Yep, sounds like a good plan to me.

Game 28: Buffalo Sabres vs. Washington Capitals

First, sorry for the delay.  It was my girlfriend's birthday this past weekend so I was spending time with her.

Caps outshot the Sabres and they stayed out of the sin bin pretty well.  It was a good game but there is still work to do.

Even the Bruins scored a goal for us and we still could not get it done.  Going 0 - 3 on the power play did not help guys.
